On the 31st of July 2026, Alexaz Care Foundation marked World Hepatitis Day by partnering with Alimosho General Hospital to reduce the burden of this debilitating illness in our community. We donated to the vaccination of 20 patients with the first and second dosages of the Hepatitis B vaccine.

About This Initiative

By blocking the liver-damaging virus, the Hepatitis B vaccine stops fatal liver conditions such as cirrhosis, liver failure, and liver cancer from developing. These conditions are all associated with chronic hepatitis, a disease that continues to ravage the lives of millions of Nigerians.

Several of those affected cannot access early testing, vaccination, or treatment due to financial barriers. At Alexaz Care Foundation, we continue to dream of a society where the people of our communities receive preventative measures against diseases like this; where no one has to suffer devastating symptoms because they cannot afford treatment.

Has anyone close to you ever been diagnosed with hepatitis? Feel free to share with us how it affected your lives.
